This was a great ride. I did the 13.5 and it was a lovely pastoral ride with consistent rolling hills. Everything was very well marked. The event is at a pavilion in a city park so there are real toilets. The Lions Club folks had fruit and bars along with water and Gatorade for the start. The post-race meal was fabulous too: sausage wraps, sauerkraut, noodles, and Shiner beer! This ride is centrally located between Austin, Houston, and San Antonio. It is a real gem!

The Weimar Bicycle Ride is one of the best I've ever ridden. The Weimar Noon Lions Club does an outstanding job of supporting the ride and provides a great after ride meal of German sausage BBQ.
I did the 63 mile route which was absolutely fabulous. The route was well marked with very little traffic on beautiful paved back roads. Do yourself a favor and add this rally in beautiful central Texas to your itinerary in 2011.
