Lone Star Ride [LSR] Fighting AIDS, TX

September 29-30, 2007

Lone Star Ride is one of the best AIDS benefit rides I've been on - the pits are great and crew in general is phenomenal. It's one of the last remaining non-urban two day rides in the metroplex. Don't miss out on this one.

I found the ride to be challenging and fun. The rest stops were wild but well placed and provided much needed support to riders.

October 2006

I'm actually surprised that there are so few reviews for the Lone Star Ride [LSR] Fighting AIDS. It's a perfect ride for beginners since there are several free LSR training rides before the actual ride that are crew supported. It's a perfect ride for those that want a challenge since it is 175 miles over two days. This year was particularly great because instead of camping in a tent, I got to sleep in a cabin! I've been involved with the ride since it began and each year it gets better. At each pit stop, you are met with cheering crew members encouraging you to go to the next. If you can't, there is no shame in being swept to the next. It's just a feel-good ride where each year I meet new riders that become good friends. Careful, you might go into it for the ride...you'll leave part of the LSR family.
