June 6, 2015 - 19th Annual Rodeo Road Rally, Produced by the Mesquite Rotary Club This year, the charity fundraiser will start at Mesquite Rodeo Convention Center (at Military Parkway and I-635 L.B.J. Freeway) at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Cyclists will have the choice of 20, 42, or 65-mile courses. In addition to the controlled ride, those registering will get breakfast food and a catered lunch from Panera Bread Cafe of Mesquite, Whataburger of Mesquite and more, and a goody bag of gifts from area businesses. Post-ride, beer will be available for purchase at the Mesquite Rodeo's 8 Second Bar. All registered riders 18 years of age or older will be eligible to enter a raffle to win a new $2,500 Trek Emonda SL 6 Road Bike from Richardson Bike Mart, or other great door prizes. The bike raffle drawing will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Ride day at the Rodeo's 8 Second Bar. Riders must be present to win. See Official Rules for complete details. The first 1,300 to register will also receive a Dry Fit Performance event t-shirt. Early registration until May 1st costs only $30.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids age 14 and under. May 1st until ride day, registration costs $35.00 for adults and $25.00 for kids. Ride day registration will be $40.00 for adults and $30.00 for kids. At Event Centre located at 700 Crockett Street in Beaumont, Texas.With more than 70% growth in riders since 2006 it has proven to be one of the most successful events for Southeast Texas.-Rest stops supplied with fruit, drinks and snacks. June 6, 2015 - Possum Pedal, Graham TX - NEW ROUTES THIS YEAR FOR THE LONGER RIDES!! 44 mile, 58 mile and 79 mile go south toward Possum Kingdom Lake. Hopefully back to Graham downwind! Very scenic and lightly traveled farm to market roads. Have a new 36 mile route also that mainly travels back roads as well. Merges with longer routes for last half of ride. 26 mile and 6 mile routes similar to last year, but eliminates the dreaded White Rose Road segment. Stay for the First Annual Food Truck Championship of Texas, including art, activities and an outdoor concert that evening with Robert Earl Keene at the Historic Drive In! Come join us for the 6th Annual All American Bicycle Rally through North East Parker County benefiting the Springtown Area Chamber of Commerce. We have routes of 6, 28, 54 and 74 miles with minimal traffic and gently rolling terrain. The ride will begin and end at the Springtown High School parking lot - l 915 W. Hwy 199, Springtown, TX 76082 - where afterwards the riders can shower and enjoy a BBQ sandwich compliments of Woody Creek BBQ. For those who wish to tour the historic homes via bicycle, we recommend starting at Getzendaner Park. Free parking is available in the park where there will be food vendors, antiques, arts & crafts. From the park you can begin the historic home tour. Proceeds from the home tour ticket sales benefit the Ellis County Museum. For more event information For suggested bike route map click here. Editors note: There is no charge for the ride but the home tour cost $17.00 to $20.00. This is a great home tour, my wife and I go every year. But she wont ride a bike.
