The Texas Ultra Cup (TUC) is a series of different ultra races spread out across Texas and spread out through the year. TUC rewards participation with a TUC trophy for all! The Texas Ultra Cup was formed in an attempt to make Ultra racing more fun, add more camaraderie, prove that you do not have to win or be in the best shape of your life to have fun, build an Ultra Racing Family, add another Award to your Trophy case, entice you to do more than one Ultra event a year, urge you to travel this great state we call Texas, allow you to bond with fellow like minded riders and to help grow the sport. We feel The Texas Ultra Cup Challenge has the ability to do all this and more. By teaming up with your comrades, sharing travel expenses and crew, maybe even a tent, we hope that friendships will be formed, memories created and a new high in Ultra riding achieved. Knowing that the team next to you will most likely be at the next race in the series should create more camaraderie. - 2014 TexasUltraCupResults10-23-13.pdf

Join us on Saturday, March 29, 2014, for the 7th Annual LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour Stonewall, TX– arguably the premier springtime cycling event in the scenic Texas Hill Country. Starting and ending on the air strip of the historic LBJ Ranch (now the LBJ National Historical Park), the routes of 10, 30, 42, 62, and 85 miles traverse minimally-trafficked Farm-Market roads, as well as bucolic country lanes. There's something for everyone!
Billed as "A Ride to Preserve History," the event lists three restored, rural Gillespie County schools as rest stops on the routes. Riders will get other tastes of history, as registration includes Luci Baines Johnson's narrated tour (by bicycle) of the historical landmarks on the ranch, and a ranger-led tour of the Texas White House. Many of President Johnson's Cabinet meetings were held under the spreading live oak trees just outside this famed presidential residence. Cyclists will also see descendants of our 36th President's famed Hereford cattle roaming near the roads on the ranch.
There's a post-ride meal included with registration. It's an opportunity to hang with friends and enjoy a cold beverage after some hard pedaling!
All net proceeds accrue to the Friends of LBJ National Historical Park (a 501c3 non-profit), and are used strictly for the benefit of the park.
