November 16, 2013 - 14 Annual Fredericksburg Fall Foliage Frolic The Fredericksburg Fall Foliage Frolic, always one of the popular rides in the fall in the Texas Hill Country, will continue with the new routes that were introduced last year. Routes that start/end at the Tatsch House within Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park on Hwy 16 S in Fredericksburg take riders over scenic roads and bucolic country lanes that are literally a step back in time. This year's 14 edition gets underway at 8:00 AM on Sat., Nov. 16, 2013. There will not be a mass start - which gives the ride its reputation for being one of the most laid-back, friendly, relaxing and fun rides to ever come down the pike. Rides of 25, 42, or 58 miles offer something for all levels of riders. There's a post-ride meal included with registration. The weather portends to be outstanding for the day of the event, where you'll be able to hang with friends on the patio of the Tatsch House and enjoy some of that good ol' Texas Hill Country hospitality. Registration is $35 through November 8; late registration (November 9-16) is $40. All proceeds go to the Hill Country Bicycle Touring Club, to be used for their efforts in providing bicycles and helmets to children as a reward for their school excellence. For more info, or to register, go to www.hcbtc.org - .
