June 1, 2013 - 17th Annual Mesquite Rotary Bike Ride, presented by Agape Home Healthcare This year, the charity fundraiser will start at Mesquite Rodeo Center (at Military Parkway and I-635 L.B.J. Freeway) at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013. Cyclists will have the choice of 33K, 65K, or 100K courses. In addition to the controlled ride, those registering will get a catered lunch from Buffalo Wild Wings coffee and food from Panera Bread of Mesquite, and a goody bag of gifts from area businesses. All registered riders 18 years of age or older will be eligible to win a new $400 GoPro HERO3 Black Edition HD Camcorder or one of eleven $100 gift cards, courtesy of Plano Cycling & Fitness. Drawings will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Ride day and riders do not need to be present to win. See Official Rules for complete details. The first 1,500 to register will also receive an event t-shirt. Early registration until ride day costs only $30.00 for adults and $20.00 for kids age 14 and under. Ride day registration will be just $35.00 for adults and $25.00 for kids. On site registration will begin at 6:00 that morning. Information will be available at area bike shops. June 1, 2013- Spindletop Spin - Beaumont, TX - Routes of 100, 53, 27 and 16 miles. With more than 70% growth in riders since 2006 it has proven to be one of the most successful events for Southeast Texas.-Rest stops supplied with fruit, drinks and snacks. SAG wagons available for the weary. The routes are fully supported with police, motorcycles and ride marshals. Approved helmets are required. Course closes at 4:00 pm. Benefiting City House, the event helps promote City House’s mission and raise funds for the agency. Hwy 199 Springtown TX- Come join us for the 4th Annual All American Bicycle Rally through North East Parker County benefiting the Springtown Area Chamber of Commerce. We have routes ranging from 10 to 72 miles traveling as far west as Garner, TX. June 15th, 2013 Tour d'Italia, Italy, TX Benefiting Italy High School, Mother's Against Drunk Driving, and other North Texas charities, the Tour d'Italia enters its 28th year, bigger and better than ever. We expect 1200 riders to earn one of our collector-quality T shirts again this year. If you do not pre-register, you will not be guaranteed a shirt. Camping is available outside at the high school and in the air-conditioned gym the night before the ride. Routes from 12 to 63 miles appeal to the entire family. The Possum Pedal, Saturday, June 29th, 2013 - Graham, TX - Make the Possum Pedal your warm up for the Hotter n Hell 100. Similar terrain but not quite as hot! The Possum Pedal Ride will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will feature five routes, a 7, 14, 30, 46, and 62 (metric century). Rest stops will be plentiful, and the ride routes all pass by notable historic sites of in north central Texas. Start and Finish line activities include live music and lunch.
