September 4, 2004- Labor Day weekend - Cotton
Patch Classic: Greenville, TX - The longest route(63 miles) will
include the legendary Leonard leviathans (huge hills). All routes will have flag
marshals with color coded flags, at intersections where shorter courses deviate
from the main course. The 5 tour courses(21 to 63 miles) will start(8:00) and
end independent from the race routes. Local live entertainment, tricycle races,
food and drink will be at the courthouse square (lots of shade) following your
ride. There are plenty of parking spaces in downtown Greenville- Rotarians will
guide you to the closest spot on your arrival. Following the ride, try playing
"Tour De Greenville" with the local downtown businesses. We have 8
categories for racing with over $2,000 in prize money. Staggered races starts
begin at 7:35. This event is directed by bicyclists with the volunteer help from
Greenville Rotary Club, Greenville YMCA, Red Cross, Boy Scouts, local churches,
schools and businesses. Proceeds go the Greenville YMCA and Greenville Rotary

September 18, 2004 - Lindsay, TX - The second annual Tour
de Gravel mountain bike rally will be held to benefit the Leukemia
and Lymphoma Society of North Texas and the Lindsay Volunteer Fire Department.
This is a true off-road bike rally. The course is on gravel county roads that
transverse the beautiful Red River Valley. Routes include 17, 27, 37, 50, and 56
mile courses. The longer route will prove challenging with numerous climbs and
fast descents. Following the event there will be great food and music which will
provide a great opportunity to relax and enjoy the beauty of North Texas. - Reviews.

Sherman, TX - Featuring 10, 25 and 62-mile routes through the rolling hills,
ranches and farmland surrounding Texoma. The location is beautiful and the

Star Ride Fighting AIDS is into its fourth year. begins in north Fort
Worth. Although we do not have final confirmation yet for this year, for the
past two years we have ridden out from the northwest campus of Tarrant County
College on Marine Creek Parkway at Highway 820. We end in the Oaklawn area of
Dallas and camp overnight at Lake Ray Roberts State Park (east of Sanger; north
of Denton). The route is approximately 175 miles - Registration is $75 for
riders with a $1000 pledge minimum. Crew registration is $50 For more info call
