| October 4, 2008 - Tour d' Cotton Bike ride, Childress, TX - routes of 8, 30 and 60 miles - Registration is $30 per person with a $5 per person family discount after
the first person pays the full reg. fee. We have Tour d' Cotton caps for
the first 50 riders registered. We give shirts & pins and have great door
prizes at the barbecue lunch. We have the participation of local law
enforcement and Childress Regional Medical Center EMT's. Good rest stops
every 8-10 miles and lots of terrific volunteers and, of course, insurance

We have decided to kick it up a notch and have made some cool changes to this year’s event:
* Have enough short sleeve rally T’s? This years rally T-shirt will be long sleeve and in color. Register now to make sure you get one
* Rest stop # 4 will feature free Red Bulls from the Red Hats, free Cliff Bars too!
* This years start will wind around Marshall’s Historic Cobblestone Square and will feature a “Special Surprise” for the riders
* Woolley G’s Bike & Fitness will be on hand for pre-ride wrench support
* Extended Trophy/Award Placings for each category
* More free pizza & beer at the finish

This ride is still growing and we still are committed to providing the homemade cookies to all riders at all rest stops. You will also see more sweep vehicles and tire pumps this year! Keep coming to our ride and keep helping us with your comments. Distances 100, 65, 50, 37, 22 miles (plus the flat 10 miles for $10) Registration fee is $20 advance or $30 after Oct 10th. This ride is best known for it's magnificent hills, lake and countryside vistas. 100 milers will have maybe 2 stop lights and about 6 stop signs!!! | October 18-19 Bike Around the Bay - Galveston, TX - Registration for the second "Bike Around the Bay" tour of Galveston Bay is now open. This two-day, 150 mile tour around Galveston Bay benefits the Galveston Bay Foundation, which has been working to preserve and protect Galveston Bay for more than 20 years. You'll get to ride on roads and bridges not usually open to cyclists in this very scenic, well-supported ride. It's a non-pledge ride, but feel free to raise money from your fisherman friends and duck-hunting buddies to pay the entry fees. The Tour de Cure is a ride, not a race, with routes designed for everyone from the occasional rider to the experienced cyclist. Whether participatns ride 62, 32 or 5 miles, they will travel a route supported from start to finish with rest stops, food to fuel the journey and fans to cheer them all the way to the celebration at the finish line!
Tour de Cure raises funds through registration fees and pledges collected by the cyclists to fund the mission of the ADA-to prevent and cure diabetes and to improve the lives of all people affected by diabetes |

Featuring an amateur 20 mile, family friendly ride and a 40 and 60 mile option for the more advanced rider. Beautiful county scenery, surprisingly smooth roads, and only 1 stop light! Catered lunch, great goodie bag, t-shirts and excellent rest stops. While this is a 1st Annual Ride, there are a lot of experienced riders behind the scenes of this rally.
