  April 7, 2018 - Smoking Spokes, Salado, TX is a Texas bike ride event sponsored by the Salado Texas Volunteer Fire Department. 100% of the proceeds go to our department. This is one of our major fundraisers of the year! Expect challenging hills, scenic views, a monster century, well-marked routes, well-manned rest stops, friendly event sponsors and a great feed at the end of the ride. The Salado Volunteer Fire Department is an organization of men and women whose purpose is to protect life, property, and the environment by delivering high quality fire and EMS services to the Salado and surrounding Central Texas area. April 7, 2018 - Liberty Freedom ride - Liberty, TX - The Liberty Freedom Ride takes you through the countryside of Liberty and Hardin Counties. We are just a stone's throw away from the Houston metro area but we retain the rural roots that brought us this far. Come ride our routes and see fertile farmland with cows and scenic rural areas unspoiled by overdevelopment. This is not a race but a ride.

We have routes that are 79, 61, 44, 32, 20 miles. Registration: Register at active.com ( or using the printable registration form on our website Late registration is available onsite from 7:00AM to 8:00AM. Ride packets will be available early at Chili's in Liberty on April 7th from 4 to 6 PM. Packets can also be picked up onsite from 7 to 8AM the day of the event. Course:

All rides begin at the Liberty Center 1829 Sam Houston, Liberty, TX. The 2 mile social ride is for anyone. Other routes have good shoulders and have rest stops every 8 to 12 miles. All routes end at the Start/finish line.

Support: SAG wagons and support vehicles will be provided. Rest stops will have fresh fruit, cold drinks, water etc. Rest stops will be manned by fun, encouraging people from the area, you won't want to miss them. Web Page

April 7, 2018 - The Police Bike Race to End Child Abuse, Keller Texas - started in 2009 as a fundraiser in which officers from surrounding agencies, race in full uniform to raise awareness and more importantly provide financial support to Alliance For Children. Alliance For Children is the only Tarrant County non-profit that provides protection from child abuse through coordinated and teamed investigations from law enforcement, Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, Cooks Children Medical Center and the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office.
Today the Police Bike Race to End Child Abuse has grown to five events, all with the same goal, to bring awareness to Alliance For Children. We have an event for every member of the family.
Events include: ·
* 2 kids races: ages 8 and under; ages 9-13 (1 mile in length each) ·
* Mayor's race: mayors of surrounding cities round the Keller Town Hall on children's bikes! ·
* Citizen's race: 4.5 mile race on paths and trails in/around Town Hall and Bear Creek Park ·

April 23-27 , 2018 - Christian Bicycle Adventure, Kentucky
KENTUCKY - April 23-27 This Christian Bicycle Adventure will take us on some beautiful scenic roads in rural Kentucky. We will bicycle to the CREATION MUSEUM on day one, THE ARK ENCOUNTER on day two and local riding and a trip across the Ohio River on the Anderson Ferry on day three. Come learn a lot while enjoying the great fellowship and fun with other believers. We will average about 40 miles per day while praying for open doors to talk with people about Jesus. Contact Judy, founder of WHEEL POWER Christian Cyclists, and full time Missionary to the USA, who will be leading this trip. She will email you an application, the fees and all the details.
