October 1, 2017 - The Lions will hold their 18th Annual Lions Biking for Sight ride on Sunday, October 1, 2017. It will start at 8 AM at the Montgomery, TX, Athletic Complex located on Hwy. 105 West, 22825 Highway 105 Montgomery, Texas 77356. We offer fully supported routes of 24, 40, 62 and 100 miles. October 7, 2017 Paluxy Pedal, Glen Rose, TX - is in it's 15th year. www.paluxypedal.com. We have four routes this year, two of which include "The Wall" Start/ Finish Location: Glen Rose High School 1102 Stadium Dr, Glen Rose, TX 76043 The ride starts and ends at the northern tip of the Hill Country in beautiful Glen Rose, Texas. The meandering paved route takes you through scenic views, gentle hills and challenging climbs. Whether you are a novice or advanced rider, you will have fun with the other riders and volunteers who all help to make this ride an unforgettable annual event, and one that you don't want to miss. Rest stops and water stations are stationed throughout the course. SAG vehicles constantly monitor the course. Showers are available at the finish line. Ride distance: 29 miles, 38 miles, 53 miles & 60 miles. The 53- and 60-mile rides take you to the top of the wall - a 3/10 of a mile stretch with a hill grade of almost 19% at its steepest. October 7, 2014 - Rip Roaring Ride - Liberty Hill TX - A beautiful ride through the Hill Country of Texas including 14,28,50, 65 and 79 mile options click here for course map. SAG and MSET supported. The ride starts at and ends at the Lions Foundation Park at 355 Loop 332 next to Liberty Hill Intermediate. ***NOTE NEW LOCATION*** The start is at 8 am and the course will be open until 2 pm. Rest stops manned by friendly, local Lions at miles 14,28, 50 and 65/79 are stocked with snacks and cold drinks and have porta-potties. A bbq lunch is served after the ride until 2 pm. Registration received on or before 10/4/17 is $45.00, registration received after that day and on 10/7/17 is $50. Cash, checks and credit cards accepted. Last year, the Tenth Annual Gateway to Texas Get-a-Way Tandem Tour proved to be one of our most enjoyable years as many of our cycling friends and family joined us for this special celebration. One of the highlights was moving the venue for our evening meals and social time to the Lennox House. We are happy to announce that the Lennox House will again serve as the location for our evening meals and social events. We will also have a guided tour of the Lennox House on Saturday night. So, for those of you that were here to enjoy last year's event, we hope you will come back and join us again this year. And, for those that weren't able to make it last year, you will have another opportunity to share the Lennox House, while you visit with your cycling friends and family during the Eleventh Annual Gateway to Texas Get-a-Way Tandem Tour. This event will be start in Trophy Club at the Byron Nelson High School on Saturday, October 14th at 9:00 AM and roll through the hills of Tarrant County. The St. Jude North Texas Bicycle Rally is an opportunity to help raise funds and awareness for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
