The 7th Annual rideATAXIA Dallas will offer fully supported 6, 25, and 50 mile cycling routes on scenic country roads, with an amazing view of Ray Roberts Lake, plus delicious post ride food prepared by Outback Steakhouse. rideATAXIA benefits FARA- a nonprofit organization dedicated to research leading to treatments and a cure for Friedreich's ataxia (FA). April 1, 2017 - LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour - The family-oriented LBJ 100 starts and ends on the historic LBJ Ranch (now the LBJ National Historical Park) near Stonewall, TX. From a cycling standpoint, there's something for everyone! Routes of 10, 30 42, and 62 miles take riders over ranch-to-market roads with smooth surfaces, minimal traffic, and bucolic country lanes. Registration includes a free park ranger-led tour of the Texas White House – where much of our nation's government was conducted during Lyndon Johnson's term in office during the 1960's. April 1, 2017 - Head for the Hills Bicycle Ride, Chappell Hill, TX - Enjoy an exhilarating ride through the hills of northeast Washington County while partaking of a visual feast of bucolic scenery and, with the cooperation of Mother Nature, a magnificent of display of wildflowers. Day-of-ride registration is at Chappell Hill VFD station on FM 1155, just north of US 290. Entrance to the parking is 750 ft. from US 290/FM 1155 intersection and about 600 ft. prior to the fire station. (Please carpool if posssible as parking is limited. No one should park on FM 1155 (Main St.) or in any church parking lot.) Registration begins at 5:30 AM. The ride starts between 8:00 & 9:00 AM, depending on your speed and the route you are riding. Courses will be monitored from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department will again provide a hamburger repast to recharge your batteries after the ride (extra charge). Web Page

  April 8, 2017 - Liberty Freedom ride - Liberty, TX - The Liberty Freedom Ride takes you through the countryside of Liberty and Hardin Counties. We are just a stone's throw away from the Houston metro area but we retain the rural roots that brought us this far. Come ride our routes and see fertile farmland with cows and scenic rural areas unspoiled by overdevelopment. This is not a race but a ride. We have routes that are 79, 61, 44, 32, 20 miles.
Registration: Regisiter at active.com ( or using the printable registration form on our website Late registration is available onsite from 7:00AM to 8:00AM. Ride packets will be available early at Chili's in Liberty on April 7th from 4 to 6 PM. Packets can also be picked up onsite from 7 to 8AM the day of the event.
Course: All rides begin at the Humphrey's Cultural Center 1710 Sam Houston, Liberty, TX. The 2 mile social ride is for anyone. Other routes have good shoulders and have rest stops every 8 to 12 miles. All routes end at the Start/finish line.
Support: SAG wagons and support vehicles will be provided. Rest stops will have fresh fruit, cold drinks, water etc. Rest stops will be manned by fun, encouraging people from the area, you won't want to miss them
