Join us for the ninth annual LBJ 100 Bicycle Tour on Saturday, April 2, 2016. The family-oriented LBJ 100 starts and ends on the historic LBJ Ranch (now the LBJ National Historical Park) near Stonewall, TX. From a cycling standpoint, there's something for everyone! Routes of 10, 30 42, and 62 miles take riders over ranch-to-market roads with smooth surfaces, minimal traffic, and bucolic country lanes. Registration includes a free park ranger-led tour of the Texas White House – where much of our nation's government was conducted during Lyndon Johnson's term in office during the 1960's. For more info on our event, go to www.LBJ100.bike.
The ride is hosted by the non-profit group, Friends of LBJ National Historical Park, and has raised nearly $250,000 in the eight rides to date. All funds go to support the mission of the Friends organization: work in partnership with the National Park Service to provide educational and interpretive programs, conduct research, and accomplish conservation, planning and improvement projects in the park. More information on past and future Friends projects within the park is available at www.FriendsofLBJNationalPark.org.
