The 30th Annual Tour de Paris Bicycle Rally will be held in Paris, Texas on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Our ride offers distances of 110k, 90k, 60k, 35k and 25k. Cyclists will ride through the bea5 S. Collegiate Drive. The Love Civic Center is home base for the ride where you will start and return to be served a smoothie and hamburger, all included in the entry fee. You will also receive a t-shirt with your entry fee, and the Tour de France will be on a big screen for your viewing pleasure. Early bird registration ends June 20th. Registration fees Early Bird ending 6/20/14, Adult $25.00, 12 & under $10.00 and Tandem $35.00. General (6/21-7/18) Adult $30.00, 12 & under $12.00, Tandem $45.00. Day of Event(7/19/14) Adult $35.00, 12 & under $15.00 and Tandem $55.00. Spaghetti supper served for $5.00 at Friday night registration and a Pancake Breakfast is available the morning of the ride starting at 6:00 am for $5.00. Volunteers will be at Richardson Bike Mart and Plano Cycling on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm to sign up riders and for early bird registrants to pick up their rider packets and rider number. We have lots of volunteers helping in all areas and we have a great time even in the heat, come join the fun. To Register go to utiful, historic Downtown Paris around the Plaza then take a scenic course throughout the County. The route includes some challenging rolling hills and a few steep climbs with some long fast flats as it winds through several rural communities. The routes will have an abundance of rest stops, approximately every 5 to 10 miles, manned by friendly and energetic volunteers. The 110k route may vary slightly depending upon road conditions the morning of the event. The 25k is a family ride on the beautiful corridor of the Trail de Paris walking, biking trail. July 26, 2014 - 27th Annual Goatneck Bike Ride, Cleburne, TX - The Goatneck Bike ride is a rolling hill course which averages around 35 feet per mile of climbing. Click on the Directions tab and go to the Routes layout page for (69.5, 41, 10 & 27) that provides elevation maps. The roads are well maintained country roads with little traffic. The prevailing winds during this time of year are from the southwest, which provides a tail wind for the last portion of the ride coming into the finish! We provide rest stops every 8-9 miles on all courses. Last year we had close to 2,500 riders. July 26, 2014 - the Dehydrator, Duncan, OK Ranked as one of the top rides in Oklahoma, and known for its heat, The Dehydrator stages itself at Duncan's premier sports and activity center, the Simmons Center. Participants will have run of the building, which includes showers, a pool, a sauna and a variety of athletic equipment. A free meal (our FAMOUS homemade chicken spaghetti !!) is served up for all entrants, extra meals can be purchased for $5. Come to Duncan's Dehydrator, GET REGISTERED, bring your sunscreen, camera, and bike and join the fun! Rolling through the low hills of southwest Oklahoma, the Dehydrator is a fun ride with distances ranging from 10-80 miles. Participants will cover rolling hills, plains and areas of Stephens County, including a stretch across the Waurika Lake Dam. Experience the beauty of the surrounding countryside while challenging yourself to The Dehydrator. The Dehydrator features recreational, non-competitive rides that include five distances. Options include a 10-mile flat course (well actually, there's a couple of big hills), as well as 25-, 50-, 62-, and 80 mile courses. (The 80 mile course will have a timed gate; riders must reach it before the assigned time or be re-routed to the 62 mile course). The recreational courses are clearly marked; route maps will be provided when participants pick up their ride packet on the evening before, and the morning of the event. Stops will be provided approximately every 10 miles and there will be plenty of fluids, fruits, and our dee-lishious homemade cookies. Web Page
